Organizational Structure

The Medical Students’ Buddhist Association (MSBA), Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, operates through a well-defined governance structure that ensures transparency, accountability, and effective coordination of its activities. The Association is guided by the Patron and Board of Advisers, who provide oversight, uphold the constitution, and offer strategic guidance. The Senior Treasurer supervises all financial matters and ensures compliance with university regulations.

At the operational level, the Executive Committee serves as the primary decision-making and implementation body. It consists of;

Together, they plan, manage, and execute the Association’s projects, events, and publications.

The Council comprises all office bearers together with Representative Committee Members selected from each student batch. It provides broader representation, facilitates communication between batches, and contributes to major decisions affecting the Association.

This structure enables the Association to effectively promote Buddhist values, student welfare, spiritual development, and community service while maintaining strong governance and active student participation.
